Interaction Designer

We are growing our design team and continue to hire Jr, mid-level, and Sr Designers. Our design team is a nimble and highly talented collaborative group. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing products the right way for the people who use them. The candidate is also good at empathizing with the user, understanding complex systems, and can solve problems at all levels – from the big picture to the nuts and bolts.


Roles and responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, and information architecture
  • Deliver user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications
  • Come armed with a seemingly endless supply of solution ideas for problems at hand for Tapjoy’s various web and mobile products
  • Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, product managers, and software developers

Skill set and experience

  • Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
  • Be able to discover, understand, and communicate the business requirements of Tapjoy, the emotional desires of our customers, and the context in which these two come together
  • Have the ability to convey ideas to product stakeholders
  • Can multitask and keep a zen-like state of mind in a busy environment
  • Have the drive to learn everyday
  • Love to have fun, love to work and know how to balance that out
  • BA or Masters degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology or related field.
